Theta Delta Colony Pledges $40,000

For those of you who didn’t make the Spring Round-Up at Scioto Country Club on April 13, you missed a good opportunity to meet the new members of Theta Delta as well as many alumni. It was a great evening topped off with our keynote speaker, Tom Wheeler ’68.
Times have changed in the 58 years since the house was built. We had the best in our day, and the new Theta Delta Colony deserves the same. The new building will be twice as large as the old house and will be technologically friendly (which wasn’t possible in the old house because of the cement walls and poured concrete floors).
All this takes money, of course. The $5 million campaign is underway and off to a great start – we’re almost halfway there! – but we need every donation possible. Now it’s our turn to do what the Betas before us did. You will be interested to know that the new chapter members have pledged $40,000 and already submitted its first $5,000 check. And, a brother from the ’60s who had previously committed to the project turned in his check for $500,000 at the Round-Up. This is in addition to the other lead donations for $100,000 and $250,000.
You should have received a detailed campaign brochure in the mail recently featuring our plans. Expect more correspondence in the near future. In the meantime, think about what you can do to put Theta Delta in the best position at Ohio State and visit http://thetadeltabtp.kintera.org/campaign to make a donation to the campaign today!
